Restoration and Conservation of the Boys Playing with Turtles Fountain

Designed in 1888 by Herbert Adams

We redesigned turtles from very old photos, then sculpted and installed. The interior plumbing fountain ring broken into 4 pieces. We replaced pins, welded and finished the bronze fountain ring, repaired the water jets, completed the design installations to working oder. We also designed and installed anti-theft mechanisms.

Boy's hand was missing thumb, we had to sculpt a new one, weld and chase to a finish, ready to patina.
